About MAP: A Science-Backed Wellbeing Assessment
Why we built this…
To give you a clear, honest picture of your wellbeing, and a science-backed path to improve it.

Think about the last time you promised yourself things would be different.
A fresh start. A new habit. A quieter mind. These intentions carry real power. They point us toward the lives we actually want to live.
But then, life intervenes.
A project falls through at work and the stress follows you home. A conversation with a loved one turns into the same old argument.
Sometimes there is no villain at all, no one to blame.
Sometimes the energy just isn’t there, and the gap between who you are and who you want to be feels familiar.
Whatever the cause, the feeling is the same: you can see the life you want, but you can’t quite reach it.
That’s exactly why MAP exists.
Meet MAP: A Centeredness Assessment Built for the Whole of You.
MAP is a free digital wellbeing platform grounded in Centeredness Theory, a peer-reviewed, systems-level approach to understanding how you’re really doing across every major area of your life.
Here’s how MAP helps you close the gap between where you are and where you want to be, in three steps.

1
See yourself clearly
It begins with a five-minute assessment that measures your wellbeing across twenty dimensions, organized into five interconnected life spheres:
community
49
family
51
relationship
56
self
57
work
63
Select a sphere to see a breakdown of that aspect of your wellbeing.
Self sphere
Your inner compass. This sphere captures the strength of your identity: your adaptability, awareness, contentment, and sense of inspiration.
Family sphere
Your closest circle. This sphere reflects the care, communication, participation, and receptiveness within your family bonds.
Relationship sphere
Your deepest connection. This sphere measures the enrichment, attentiveness, connection, and understanding you share with a partner.
Work sphere
Your daily contribution. This sphere captures your innovation, accountability, engagement, and supportiveness in your professional life.
Community sphere
Your wider world. This sphere reflects the confidence, sympathy, empathy, and sensitivity you bring to the groups and places you belong to.
These spheres don’t exist in isolation. They overlap and influence one another, which is why MAP also calculates your Centeredness Score: a systems-level measure of balance across all five spheres. Unlike hierarchical models, no sphere must be “satisfied” before another can grow. Self occupies a central position, but every sphere matters equally.

2
Find your highest-impact focus
Once you’ve completed the assessment, MAP’s Centeredness Intelligence analyzes your scores across all twenty dimensions within each sphere.
The result is a detailed wellbeing report that captures the landscape of your life with remarkable precision: where you’re thriving, where you’re stretched, and the patterns you might not see from the inside.
People often describe reading their report for the first time as uncanny, like looking into a mirror that reflects more than they expected.
Find your focus
Not every change carries the same weight. Because your five spheres form an interconnected system, strengthening one dimension often lifts others along with it.
MAP’s Centeredness Intelligence identifies the specific changes that will produce the greatest improvement in your overall wellbeing, so you can stop guessing and start where it matters most.
Here’s how it works…
Say your report shows a slightly low Sensitivity score in the Community sphere. Rather than tackling it head-on, MAP might guide you toward strengthening Attentiveness in your Relationship sphere, because the underlying skill transfers.
Why?
Sensitivity is about tuning into the feelings and challenges of others. By practicing that awareness within your closest relationship, you build a capability that radiates outward: a genuine two-for-one wellbeing gain.
MAP replaces scattershot effort with precise focus. That’s how you feel the difference sooner.

3
Put insight into action
MAP isn’t just a test. It’s a platform built by scientists in neuroscience, psychology, and data science.
We’ve curated nearly 50 evidence-based activities, each designed to build a specific capability. Based on your unique scores, you’ll receive a personalized action plan: a clear, step-by-step roadmap toward the wellbeing you’re working for.
Your wellbeing, in motion
Practice these activities within the platform, then bring your new skills into daily life. Return to retake the assessment, track how your scores shift over time, and unlock 40 wellbeing milestones along the way.
Step by step, the gap between who you are and who you want to be gets smaller, not through willpower alone, but through a process grounded in real science.

The science of better goals
On the path toward a more centered life, your goals act as a compass. That’s why MAP is built around three research-backed principles for setting goals that actually stick.
Intrinsically motivated
When goals are driven by comparison (keeping up, looking good, outpacing others), they quietly undermine you. The goals that move the needle are the ones tied to what genuinely matters to you: the ambitions that feel alive, not borrowed.
Approach-oriented
Avoidance goals ask you to run from something. Approach goals ask you to move toward something worth reaching. MAP orients every action around a brighter future you’ve chosen, not a fear you’re fleeing.
Value-congruent
A goal that conflicts with your core values will drain you, no matter how well-planned it is. MAP helps you set goals that align with your beliefs, your priorities, and the life you’re actually building, so the effort feels purposeful, not forced.
When these three principles guide your direction, you’re not just aiming for better scores. You’re building something deeper. And MAP supports you through every step.

A clearer life starts with a vision
Who do you want to become? What does a good life look like for you, not by anyone else’s definition, but by your own? These are the questions most of us bury under obligations, expectations, and the noise of busy days.
That’s unfortunate, because research shows that a vivid personal vision does more than boost your state of mind. It guides you toward better physical health, stronger relationships, and greater success in all its forms.
That’s why, no matter where your scores land, every MAP experience begins with a set of exercises we call…
The “Best Possibles”
These exercises ask you to envision the very best version of yourself: the person you aspire to be across all five spheres. With that vision clearly in sight, the rest of the platform (and the choices you make beyond it) gain direction, weight, and pull. It becomes the reference point that keeps you aligned.
Here’s the honest truth
Many of us believe that the right circumstances will make everything click: a new role, a new relationship, a new city. If we just get that one thing, the rest will follow.
But without strong inner wellbeing, even getting exactly what you want leaves you searching for more.
Lasting satisfaction doesn’t depend on what surrounds you. It depends on what’s happening within you: your center.
Investing in your wellbeing is not a luxury. It is the foundation that lasting fulfillment is built on.

The minds behind MAP
A story of collaboration across borders, disciplines, and decades.
The MAP team brings together designers, software engineers, and scientists specializing in neuroscience, psychology, and data science. United by a shared conviction, we’re working to make rigorous wellbeing science accessible to everyone, everywhere.

The world we’re working toward
Across the globe, sovereign wealth funds represent a nation’s commitment to securing its financial future: a long-term investment in prosperity and stability.
But financial wealth alone has never been enough to sustain a thriving society. It’s one piece of a much larger picture.
Without a foundation of human wellbeing, no society can truly flourish.
No investment strategy, however sophisticated, can compensate for what happens when people lack the inner resources to grow, connect, and contribute. Wellbeing is the bedrock on which happiness, contentment, and shared prosperity are built. That’s why our aim is to see MAP reach every corner of the world, one person, one profile, one ripple at a time.

This is bigger than any one person
MAP is built on the principle of citizen science. Every time someone completes an assessment, the anonymized data feeds back into ongoing wellbeing research, advancing the science for everyone, not just the individual.
Share the experience with the people in your life. Every new profile strengthens the dataset, deepens the research, and brings us closer to tools and insights that benefit all of us.
